Whether we meet in your home or virtually, OT the Way focuses on the routines, environments, and daily challenges your child experiences most. We help families build practical strategies that can be used beyond the session.
We bring therapy into your child’s natural environment, making it easier to observe daily routines and practice skills where they actually happen.
Virtual visits allow families to receive guidance, coaching, and support from home with flexible access across California.
We help parents understand what may be contributing to challenges and provide practical strategies for daily routines, transitions, regulation, feeding, and self-care.
Each session is designed to give your family simple, realistic tools you can continue using throughout the week.
Whether sessions happen in your home or virtually, the goal is the same: to give your child practical support in the routines and environments they use every day.
Therapy happens where your child already lives, plays, eats, dresses, learns, and grows. This helps us understand your child’s real routines and build strategies that fit naturally into daily life.
Virtual sessions give parents direct coaching and support from home. We can walk through routines, problem-solve challenges, and help you practice strategies in the moment with the materials you already have.
OT the Way was founded by pediatric occupational therapists Jackie Hardison and Susanna Moon. Together, they bring a family-centered approach to therapy that combines clinical expertise with practical support for the routines, challenges, and little victories that make up everyday family life.
Susanna is a pediatric occupational therapist who is passionate about helping children build the skills they need to participate, connect, and feel confident in their everyday lives. She especially enjoys working with infants and young children and supporting families through the many stages of early development.
Her clinical interests include pediatric feeding, swallowing and oral-motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), and early childhood development. Susanna takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that every child develops at their own pace and that every family has their own unique routines, strengths, and challenges.
One of Susanna's favorite parts of being an OT is partnering with caregivers and celebrating the progress that happens along the way. She believes that some of the most meaningful changes can come from small, consistent steps within a child's everyday routines. By working closely with families, she helps caregivers feel confident supporting their child's development both during and between therapy sessions.
As a mother of two, Susanna brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her work. She understands that family life can be full of busy schedules, unexpected moments, and plenty of trial and error. Her goal is to make therapy feel practical, supportive, and achievable—not like another thing families have to add to their plate.
Outside of OT, Susanna enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the everyday adventures that come with being a mom of two. She loves watching her children learn and grow and appreciates the little moments that make family life special.
Jackie is passionate about helping children build the skills they need to participate, connect, and thrive in everyday life. One of her favorite parts of being an occupational therapist is watching children reach milestones and make small changes that eventually lead to big goals. She believes that progress doesn't always happen all at once—sometimes it's the tiny victories along the way that make the biggest difference.
Jackie takes a family-centered approach to therapy and loves empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools they need to support their child's development outside of therapy. Her clinical interests include pediatric feeding, breast and bottle feeding, picky eating, sensory processing, self-regulation, attention, and developmental skills.
She believes that therapy is most meaningful when it fits naturally into a child's everyday life. Whether working in the home or through telehealth, Jackie strives to make therapy playful, practical, collaborative, and empowering for the whole family.
Outside of OT, Jackie is a wife and mom of three, so she knows firsthand that family life can be busy, messy, fun, and wonderfully unpredictable! When she's not working with children and families, you'll often find her playing board games with her family, cooking, or getting a workout in.
Being a mom has only strengthened her belief that parents know their children best. She loves coming alongside families, celebrating the small wins, and helping parents feel confident in supporting their child every step of the way.
